Michael Leetzow

Michael Leetzow is a patent attorney with 14 years of experience located in Lake Mary, Florida. Michael was an attorney at two very large Intellectual Property law firms in Washington, D.C. before going in-house as Patent Counsel at Corning Cable Systems, a Fortune 500 company located in North Carolina. After four years, he opened his own Intellectual Property practice in his native state of Florida.

Michael is a member of the Florida, Georgia, and Washington, D.C. bars and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.

Michael has experience in all facets of IP practice. The majority of his practice is patent related, including patent application drafting and prosecution. He also has extensive patent prosecution experience in the fields of medical devices and medical imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound), golf clubs and related devices, office products, flour milling equipment and processes, and fiber optic devices and processes. However, he also advises clients about all aspects of the invention process, including confidentiality, patent validity and infringement, and licensing. Michael also advises clients on trademark and copyright issues as they arise. In fact, his first two cases in Florida were clients that had trademark issues on the internet.
